On Labor day weekend, 1996, I attended the Homecoming Concert at Central City, kentucky. The EVERLY BROTHERS (ISSAC) Don & Phil were preforming on stage. The next day, I wen't to Don's hotel, some 20 miles south of Central City, Ky. I had a chance to meet Don and get his autograph on my Everly Brothers J-180 Gibson guitar. Also got a photo. In 2001, I stayed at Don's hotel for the Labor Day weekend concert. I caught up with Phil and got a picture and a autograph on the famous Gibson "EVERLY" J-180 guitar. I also snapped a few photo's of Don & Phil in the lobby at the hotel. A few weeks later, I recieved a photo in the mail of me and Phil Everly  autographing my guitar. I also have photo's of the last Central City Homecoming concert, in 2001. Such a great time in my life to meet two duo's of the 50's that made R&R music together.

Dana was a beautiful human being, not only in the physical sense but I believe in wardly as well. She was a talented actress who brought great joy to many people including myself through her work in TV and the movies. Her early, untimely passing over to the other side of life was a tragidy that will forever remain with me, and others, but she will live on through her work. I would have loved to have Dana and told her how beautiful she was and maybe to have brought her a little comfort in her life. Dana I miss you and will always remember you with affection, I may only have been a fan of yours but you will be firever in my heart.

I would like to see a Memorial built to honor Ozzie, Harriet, David and Rick. They gave so much to entertain all of us. I would like to see David Dedicate it for the family. I am hoping that this gets made while David is still with us. This family is so amazing. David followed in his Fathers footsteps while Rick followed both his Mom and Dads. I hope this dream I have had for the Memorial comes true. One can only wish that it happens.

hello glen!, i have written alot of good songs & would really like to record & or sell some of them. my voice is very close to yours & i'm sure if you heard them you would definetly like alot of them! another guitar picker i play with at church recently gave me an article on the wrecking crew, & i was really fascinated! i was growing up in so. cal. when you were recording with the beach boys.when i was asked at school if related to you & i said no. when i graduated, i rode a "stage coach"(song) to oklahoma to spend time with my dad & met his parents.thats when they told me about your folks leaving the clan in mississippi & moving to arkansas.grandpa curtis campbell & 3 brothers rode a freight train & got off in atoka,ok. in 1914 & went to work in a sawmill, & then later became a logger, later going on to work in NM.,& AZ..anyway, they told me i,m definetly related to you! i would even be glad to sing back up, & am very good singing lead & harmony, & am a good guitarist(not as good as you) & performer,& have enough songs for 1 gospel & 2 or 3+ country/rock cd's, check me out & you can have the 1st shot . one day at an older scotch friends home in okc. he handed me a beach boys album & i saw a picture of someone that i looked like when i was younger. i was really surprised when he told me it was you! I have to say that you and Johnny inspire me to not be afraid of who I am and to be proud of it. I've liked her since I started liking Johnny since about 03 and think she's just amazing and beautiful! Yes, like everyone else, I found out that she was Johnny's girlfriend (Pretty much, his wife), and from then on, I decided to see what she was all about.

  must say that I'm amazed at her talent and her love for Johnny. I am a fan of both of them, so no, I am not jealous of her at all. Well, a little bit, but I know that's never gonna happen due to age, location, and our lives, besides, I would never want to break up an already perfect couple! I would be over-joyed if I could one day meet Vanessa and Johnny. I wrote her a letter, but I don't have the right stamp to get an autograph since I live in the USA, but I do have 2 of Johnny's autographs from when I sent him letters. I also want to see her English-Debut movie whenever it is released in the US. I absolutly love her voice because it's different than any other and is so soothing to listen to. I own "DivinIdylle" and even though I don't speak a word of French, I have found myself in love with this album! People need to get over the fact that she's with Johnny and not them, and focus more on supporting both as a couple and as individuals. Besides, they have produced two ADORABLE children! Dear Mr. Fuhrman:

Now it's come to blue against blue? Is there leader out there with intestinal fortitude to set a precedent? As citizens of the United States, we are entitled to protection of the law under our Constitutional Rights. Police officers should be too! But they aren't. Why not? They are citizens too. 

Many sheriff's deputies/police officer are victims of political corruption and abuses of power in departments where this regarded as standard operating procedure. Politics and abuses of power, drives departments to violate what they themselves are supposed to enforce, the law. In this situation, politics and policies within the department, supersedes a police officer's right as a citizen. Police officers and sheriff's deputies are summarily brought up on unfounded, bogus charges and fired without having the opportunity to defend themselves. Why? So the truth won't be exposed, placing the heads of the department in question. You can be fired without evidence for an infraction. Some are actually 'set up' alleging false charges, without proof. There's also the threat... if you say anything to defend yourself, you do so knowing, you will lose your job. After being fired from a law enforcement career, your reputation and credibility is destroyed. Who will hire you? So, what about the First Ammendment? Ammendment Rights are not a concern if you are head of the police or sheriff's department  As the sheriff, what you say is the law... And what you say is ,of course, gospel truth. Who's going to question the integrity of a sheriff or chief of police? Have you ever heard of an honest politician? Why shouldn't law enforcement be monitored?

A sheriff or chief shouldn't be a politician if you want a department to be effective. Politics interferes with police officers' abilities to do the jobs they're sworn to do. It impacts their morale. How can they be effective when they're confronted by intimidation and the threat of losing their job by their superiors. In certain departments, if they don't perform according to their superior's color of the law, they'll be next in line to lose their job. How can you be effective as a police officer on the street, if you know you can lose your  job for the slightest departmental infraction. Or, charges can be can be overlooked if you are a member of the fraternity/sorority, a supporter of the political policy and corruption. There is no moral support to perform one of the most dangerous and thankless jobs there is.

Mr. Fuhrman, you're aware what I have described exists; more than the typical (civilian) citizen. The pressures and injustices are overshelming. Is anybody going to want be a police officer anymore? If a potential applicant knew what really goes on today, she or he would make another career choice. The guys on the line are caught between the criminals, their own department's politics, loss of their job and the possibility of injury and death. These situations compromises a police officer's discretion to perform his/her duties. 

There are law enforcement agencies that need monitoring from  outside agencies. Because of the potential of conflict of self interest, internal affairs is restricted. They have to answer to their superiors too. Departments concoct stories against police officers to destroy a police officer's reputation and credibility, protect those in charge from exposing the truth. 

How some local law enforcement agencies can abuse power, color the law to serve self interest, alter or withhold evidence, violate Constitutional Rights, destroy lives and careers in the name of politics under the color of law and without fear of reprisal. I know of such a case involving three sheriff's deputies I am not a disgruntled violator of the law or police officer. I am witness to such injustice.

There should be a coalition to accomplish this task. Then we'll all (police officers, too) have confidence in law enforcement again. Police officers shouldn't be handcuffed by their department's politics. For police officers/sheriff's deputies confronting termination, in this scenario, arbitration resolution should not be considered. Evidence can be withheld, reports can be altered, witnesses statements not taken or revealed in your defense. I know of three officers (two currently employed and one dismissed after 30 plus years of meritorious service and excellent conduct. His career and his reputation have been ruined. There are two more officers now facing other charges because they supported the officer terminated after a 30 year career. These are travesties of justice, ruining many people's lives, for politics??

   I hope you will remember me in some small way. I ran the kitchen at U.of N.,Late 90's and worked as a Preschool teacher with your sister Karen (90's). Your mother also picked up both my wifes engagement and wedding rings. Your brother in law Bob Fitts was the Pastor who married my wife cynthia and I in Nov. 1990. He  is our good friend as well as all of the Fitts family; etc "Blah Blah Blah"

   After leaving the Preschool I became a teacher at Konawaena High School from Sept 94 until June 96', and to shorten my story, I ended up working here at San Pedro High School since 1999.

  What I am requesting is acquiring THE UN-CUT UN-EDITED version of Beyond Paradise. IT IS AN EXCELLENT EDUCATIONAL TOOL for my Life Skills and Health courses and is a healing movie personally for myself..

I did purchase the DVD, which I love, but really enjoy ALL THE SAN PEDRO HIGH SCHOOL SEGMENT INCLUDED.

For me personally, when I was specially invited to see the premiere in Marina Del Rey (Thank you who ever invited me!) enjoyed the un edited version. I believe it made the message more concrete, as far as the importants of healthy families anD good, loving fathers.

I am looking forward to also viewing "To End All Wars" which is coming in the mail, and my older brother has raved about!

THING DID'NT WORK OUT SO HE MOVED IN WITH HIS GIRL FRIEND WHO HAD SOME KIDS I COULD'NT LET HIM STAY WITH ME BECAUSE OF MY SECTION 8 BUT I TOLD HIM HE COULD STAY WEEKENDS OR WHEN EVER .
