Mr. Nelson, in 1966 when I was 14 your brother Rick made a movie called "The People Trap". Some of the movie was filmed in an underground parking structure across from my house. When they started filming I went down there to see what I could see. Since they needed extras, I was given a 'gas mask' and allowed in one scene. The mask only covered my mouth so I could still see my face. Unfortunately Rick wasn't in this scene but Connie Stevens and Stu Whitman were. It was a made-for-tv movie by ABC. I sent an email to ABC a couple years ago asking where I could get a copy but I never heard back. Do you know where I could get a copy of it? It would be a lot of fun for me to see that again.

Thanks for all the great entertainment over the years. Yours, Ray Weems

How I met David Nelson

How I met David Nelson:

I had a paper route in 1957 - 1958 in Hollywood.  One of my stops was the studio where the Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet were filmed.  Many of the stage crew were customers of mine and Ozzie would occasionally purchase a paper from me.  Back then the paper was known as the Herald Express, later changed to Herald Examiner.  The newspaper company closed it's doors in the middle 1980's.  I made friends with the Neslons during my short time of selling newspapers.  David was very friendly and went out of his way to chat with me when I was in studio selling my papers.  Rick kept his distance from me, probably because he was five years older.  I use to get Christmas cards from the Nelsons for about five years.  When Rick outgrew his wardrobe at that time, Harriet gave me a bucnh of his clothes.  They were an extraordinary family.  I believe David has a law degree.  When my family moved from Hollywood to the San Fernando Valley, I had to give up my newspaper selling route and then lost contact with the Nelsons.  I know that the church at Forest Lawn in Hollywood Hills where David was married is the same church where memorial services were held for Rick Nelson.

Anyway, that's my short story about David and his family.

Why I would like to meet David Nelson

Why I would like to meet David Nelson:

I would like to see a Memorial built to honor Ozzie, Harriet, David and Rick. They gave so much to entertain all of us. I would like to see David Dedicate it for the family. I am hoping that this gets made while David is still with us. This family is so amazing. David followed in his Fathers footsteps while Rick followed both his Mom and Dads. I hope this dream I have had for the Memorial comes true. One can only wish that it happens.

I will always be a fan of Ozzie, Harriet, David and Ricks. I am so very proud of all of them.
