When you appeared with Mitch Miller on TV years ago, there was an evening when you sang the song, "Once Upon a Time". I've never forgotten how lovely your voice sounded or the feeling you put into that song. After all this time, I still wish that I could hear it again (only in my memory it seems), but I guess this particular melody was not recorded. Just wanted to tell you I've always thought that you were so talented and a delight in all your performances.

Why I would like to meet Leslie Uggams
Why I would like to meet Leslie Uggams:
I did not know anything about her until the miniseries roots came out on national television. When I saw her performance, I thought she was fabulous. Not only can she act,she can also sing. I am very proud of her. I was only twelve years old when roots came out, and now I am forty-three years old. I still think that she is a fantastic actress. I would love to meet her one day, just to shake her hand,and to take a picture.
